Atwood the blind assassin6/5/2023 ![]() An attractive shared project between the two major figures, both famous women artists in their own right: Atwood, double Booker Prize winner, Arthur C. Few examples of this limited edition with the signed Ono print tend to surface these days. (The print is housed within its own matching cloth folder and, along with the book, both are presented in slipcase). ![]() This is copy "87" of the limited edition, with the print itself also numbered "87 / 150" and SIGNED by Yoko Ono in black ink beneath her drawing. The total edition was 160 copies (I - XXXV, and 36 to 150) signed and dated by Atwood, and presented in a slipcase with an original print, numbered, and signed by the artist. In our experience, one of the strongest and most collectable of all the titles that were released by this small press - a unique and interesting collaboration between Atwood's Booker Prize winning novel and Yoko Ono's distinguished conceptual artwork. ![]() Sanderson oathbringer6/5/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() In some of Brandon’s books, there are a few main characters who spend most of their time together in the same place. I have a massive spreadsheet called the Master Cosmere Timeline (I can hear some of you salivating right now, and no, I won’t let you peek at certain corners of it). The timeline is one small part of the reason, but it will give you a small glimpse of what is going on at a frantic pace here at Dragonsteel trying to get the book ready to go to press. I asked it myself years ago when I heard similar news about a Harry Potter book. Why do we have to wait until November before it’s on the shelf at the bookstore?” This is a natural question. I know that some of you think, “Brandon posted that he had finished writing Oathbringer months ago. (Spoiler warning: There may be tidbits of information in this article about the plot of Oathbringer, but I have specifically made up many of the examples I use, so you can’t count on any of it as fact.) I just finished the timeline for Oathbringer, and thought you might like to hear about the process. ![]() ![]() ![]() You can track your delivery by going to AusPost tracking and entering your tracking number - your Order Shipped email will contain this information for each parcel. I loved the people in their circles – Kami’s best friend Angela had at least half of the best lines in the book. I loved Kami and Jared, neither the stereotype of Young Adult Main Character but unique, very much themselves. When she abruptly meets him face to face, though, everything changes. ![]() ![]() And neither wants to end it, at all – they’ve had each other to turn to with laughter and tears all their lives, and the thought of losing her best friend makes Kami deeply uneasy. Her mother wants her to stop it so, he tells her, does Jared’s mother – which could be the response of a real boy, or it could, of course, be what an imaginary friend in this situation would say. I have a system where when I stop, I lean casually against something, Jared told her. The laughing at nothing and occasionally stopping dead in your tracks. How do you deal with it? Kami asked Jared. For as long as she can remember she has had an imaginary friend, Jared … It was cute when she was little, a bit worrying when she was a bit older, and those around her look very much askance now that she’s seventeen and still talks to him in her mind. Our heroine, Kami, isn’t altogether sure whether she’s altogether sane. But I’ll try not to slaver all over the place. I’ve gone all fangirly and fear for this review – it could so easily just become OMG-awsum!!1!! blither. ![]() Freak of Nature by Julia Crane6/3/2023 ![]() ![]() Rather, Kaitlyn is remembering how she died to save a woman being raped.
